About Our Founder

My name is Jo-Ann. Teacher educator.  Author.  Advocate.

I work at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University as a language and literacy lecturer at the English Language and Literature Academic Group.

Most of the time, you’ll find me in tutorial rooms or schools, working with teachers. Otherwise, it’s likely that I’ll be working with parents and children all in the hope of improving language and literacy practices in classrooms and homes. Part of this involves advocating for children and the books they read for the right book can change a child’s life.

We all have a part to play and this is mine.

Since 2000, I have been passionate about education and helping others improve their academic performance.

I believe that with the correct tools and under the right guidance, everybody can succeed in their studies. I use a variety of teaching methods in my class to make sure that everybody feels welcome, engaged and excited to learn.

On top of that, I do my best to provide students with any help and support they need to get the best results. In my class, you will never be alone.

If you wish to know more about me and my work, you’ll find me on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
